Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the date and time you signed up.

Information collected automatically. When you join, we record a one-way, salted hash of your IP address so we can limit repeated sign-ups. We never store your IP address itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.

Information about our emails. For each subscriber we keep a private unsubscribe link, whether you have unsubscribed, and whether our emails to you were delivered, bounced or reported as spam.

• To send you a confirmation when you join, and updates about early access and launch.
• To honour your choice when you unsubscribe, and to stop emailing addresses that bounce or report spam.
• To protect the waitlist from spam, abuse and automated sign-ups.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you join the waitlist, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing or by writing to us.

This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising trackers. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data and does not track you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as the pages viewed, the referring website, browser, device type and country. Our emails contain no tracking pixels.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sign-ups are validated on our servers before they are stored, and access to the database is restricted to the spotmarket team.

We keep your information until spotmarket launches and we have contacted you about it, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to make sure we don't email you again.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate data corrected, or your data erased.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Raise a grievance with us, and, if you are not satisfied with our response, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We will respond within 30 days.

spotmarket is intended for adults. Please do not join the waitlist if you are under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will notify you by email.
